CSCW’s Supplemental Support

We offer direct, short-term emergency financial aid to individuals and families in Woodbury experiencing unexpected hardships—such as sudden job loss, illness, medical emergencies, or personal tragedy. This funding helps cover critical immediate expenses to prevent deeper financial distress.

It’s important to be clear about the role we play. We’re an independent, community-based resource that provides supplemental support during times of genuine need. While we aren’t designed to be a sole or ongoing source of assistance, we can help when an unexpected hardship or crisis leaves you struggling to meet an immediate need.

Our approach is simple and judgment-free. We don’t determine whether someone deserves help based on the assets they may have or assumptions about their circumstances. Instead, we focus on what you’re facing right now, what resources may already be available to you, and how we can help you get through a difficult moment and move forward.

Part of that conversation often includes talking through your budget and what a sustainable path forward looks like — not because we’re checking up on you, but because our goal isn’t just to help once.
